Late-breaking news:

  • Registration is closed: You can still register in Boston, where on-site fees will apply.

  • Videotaping sessions will take place in Parlor 316. Please see Mack Reed (mack@isi.edu) if you need to check or change your appointment.

  • Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions will be held in a variety of rooms, and will be assigned as soon as the sign-up sheets are completed. The room assignments will be announced during Monday's session.

  • Isabel Cruz and Joel Sachs will be moderating a "State of the Semantic Web in Digital Government" BoF. The purpose of the session will be for DG researchers to speak for a few minutes, with or without slides, about their semantic web activities. (Questions about, or problems with, the semantic web will also be welcome.)

We'll take a broad view of what constitutes the semantic web, and encourage all researchers to share their work in Open GIS standards, web services, RDF, semantic mediation, and other related technologies. Some questions you might consider addressing are: How is your research contributing to the semantic web? How is your research using semantic web technologies? What problems have you overcome? What problems have you been unable to overcome?

This will be an informal discussion, with 0-4 slides per speaker as our target. If you'd like to speak, please email jsachs@umbc.edu
