Venue

REQUIREMENTS

Papers, Posters, and Case Studies
Papers should describe research and/or implementation of a topic relating to digital government. We specially encourage papers that describe the successful collaboration of researchers and government officials. A small number of these papers will be selected to highlight in a special Case Studies session. Papers will fall into three categories:

• Long papers, about established research and/or collaborations,
• Short papers, about new projects, and
• Posters, about new projects.

Authors should indicate which category/ies they prefer. The Program Committee will try to allocate accepted papers into the requested categories. Papers being submitted as 'multidisciplinary' should identify the two or more areas of research addressed by them. Papers that are written by students alone should be submitted to the Student Session (see below). Papers accompanied by system demonstrations are particularly welcomed; in this case, please submit both a paper and a demo submission (see below).

Panels
We invite descriptions of panels on topics of common interest. Descriptions should outline the theme and list a number of potential panelists. Successful submitters will become the panel moderator, and can then assemble the panelists and orchestrate their presentations. See submission details below.

System Demonstrations
One of the highlights of dg.o conferences is the demonstration sessions, held in special sessions to the accompaniment of good food. We invite short papers outlining a system demo, and we encourage demos that accompany papers (in which case, please submit both a system demo description and a paper). Each demo station will have a table, an easel, Internet access, and an LCD projector. See submission details below.

Student Papers
Papers on any aspect of digital government that are authored by students alone are welcomed in this session, which will be chaired by a student. The session will also include time for a discussion of typical graduate student issues. See submission details below.

Birds of a Feather Themes
We invite short descriptions of themes for the Birds of a Feather session, a set of roundtable discussions about relevant topics. This session serves to introduce people and support the formation of nationwide communities of people with like interests. See submission details below.

Reviewing
Reviewing of all submissions will be performed by the Conference Program Committee, which is currently being formed and will be announced shortly at the conference Web site (http://www.dgrc.org/dgo2003/). This yearŐs Program Chair is Prof. Peggy Agouris, University of Maine.

Submission Format
Handling all the submissions in a short time is a lot of work! Please, therefore, observe the requirements below. Papers that do not conform to the requirements may be rejected without review.

Submissions should not have been published elsewhere in exactly the same format. The front page should include:

Long papers should not exceed 6 pages, 11 point font, 1" margins all around. Short papers and posters should not exceed 4 pages, 11 point font, 1" margins all around. If you have an accompanying demo you must also submit a demo description.
