Submission Deadline: no longer accepting submissions
Question |
Answer |
What should project highlights cover? |
The two-page summary should describe current project activities, summarize published or unpublished research contributions, and identify successes, challenges, and plans for the coming year. |
Does a project highlight replace the annual report required by the NSF? |
No. |
Is a PI required to attend the conference and the PI's meeting? |
Yes, at least one PI per project must attend. |
When will the PI’s meeting be held during the dg.o 2006 conference? |
The National Science Foundation (NSF) expects all current digital government principal investigators (PI’s) to submit a project highlights summary, and to attend both the conference and the NSF Digital Government Principal Investigators meeting held at the dg.o 2006 conference at lunch on Wednesday, May 24, 2006. |
Will each project highlight be included in some way in the dg.o 2006 conference? |
Accepted project highlights will only be included in the conference proceedings if one of the authors is scheduled to present at the conference. |
Will each project highlight be included in the conference proceedings? |
All those whose project highlight submissions are accepted by the dg.o 2006 program committee will be scheduled to present at the conference as an oral presentation, poster, or demonstration. At least one author of each project highlight must register for the conference in order for the project highlight to be included in the conference proceedings. |
Will all current NSF digital government projects be accepted for the conference? |
Generally yes, although the reviewers might ask the PI to make some changes in their document prior to publication. |
What if someone involved in the NSF project also submits a research paper or demo or poster to dg.o 2006? |
Here, we use some discretion. If there is considerable overlap between the research paper (or other poster or demo) and the project highlight, then an accepted, peer-reviewed submission will supercede the project highlight, in terms of publication in the proceedings and presentation at dg.o 2006. The program committee (co-chairs and review committee) will work with the PI's to make this determination. |
Will there be project highlights other than current NSF digital government projects? |
Yes, we have extended the invitation to submit to include prior NSF digital government projects as well digital government research projects being conducted outside any current or prior NSF funding relationships. |
